Bob Bettacchi is currently assisting Arystec Acrylics in the development of its strategy for its Avonite Solid Surface business. Prior to this, Mr. Bettacchi was president of the Performance Chemicals Division of W. R. Grace & Co. The Performance Chemicals Division was a $1 billion worldwide, specialty chemicals operation that operated in over 40 countries serving the construction materials and the metal packaging industries. Mr. Bettacchi started at Grace in its Research Division in Columbia, MD and spent nearly 40 years with Grace in a variety of marketing and general management positions in the graphic arts and building materials businesses. He became president of the North American Construction Products Division in 1990 and spent the balance of his career building a global construction products business through a combination of organic growth and acquisition.

Mr. Bettacchi is a graduate of Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and currently sits on the boards of Cambridge Trust Co., St. Francis House, the largest day shelter for homeless men and women in Boston, and The Alzheimer’s Association of MA/NH.
