Prior to forming SK Capital, Dr. Siadat was a Managing Director at Arsenal Capital Partners where he led the specialty materials and chemicals investing efforts and served on the firm’s Operating and Investment Committees. During his tenure at Arsenal, Dr. Siadat completed several transactions in the specialty materials and chemicals sector, including Rutherford Chemicals, Reilly Industries, Vertellus Specialties, Sermatech International and Velsicol Chemical Company.
Dr. Siadat began his career at W.R. Grace & Co., where he held a number of technical, operating and executive positions, including Vice President, Corporate Technologies. In 1995, he joined AlliedSignal as Vice President of Technology and was later promoted to Corporate Vice President and Chief Growth Officer.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Aristech Acrylics, Ascend Performance Materials, Calabrian Corporation, and is on the Board of Directors of IBA Molecular.
Dr. Siadat earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, as well as an M.S. in Polymer Science and Engineering and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
