Mr. Norris currently oversees the operational improvement of SK Capital portfolio company Ascend Performance Materials and also serves as an advisor to the SK Capital in the specialty materials and chemicals sector.
Prior to becoming involved with SK Capital and Ascend, Mr. Norris was the Chairman & CEO of W.R. Grace. Prior to W.R. Grace, Mr. Norris was a Senior Vice President of AlliedSignal and served as the President of its specialty chemicals business. Mr. Norris has also held executive positions at Engelhard Corporation including the President of the Catalysts & Chemicals Division.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of FMC Corporation, Nalco Corporation and Sealy Corporation, where he is the non-executive Chairman.
Mr. Norris earned a Bachelor's degree from Mt. St. Mary's College and has an M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
